Project 365 - October 1

Well, we have been preparing for over two weeks for our HUGE garage sale, and today, October 1, finally came.  We slept only from 3:30-4:30 last night (this morning, actually), so it wore us out!

These are signs that I painted to put around the neighborhood.   They aren't complete in this picture, but they did have arrows to direct people to our house! :)

This picture was probably taken around midnight or so, I don't really know.  It begins to show you what the garage sale looked like.

This is what our driveway looked like when you stepped out of our front door.

Our garage was full of all of the clothes!

This is probably the best daytime picture of the garage sale.  I wish I had taken more, but I was quite busy, as you can imagine.

Stephen (on the left) was the "stuffed animal specialist."  He sure sold a lot of them for us!

Emily is taking a water break after it finally warmed up a bit.  It was really cold early in the morning.  We sure could not have done it without all of our help from Emily, Melanie, Laura, Chad, Samantha, and Stephen.  We are blessed to have such wonderful friends!

Once the grass dried, we laid the pictures in the yard for people to view.

You will also notice a sign leaned against the tree in the background.  This led people around the street to our furniture and electronice department.  Our sweet neighbors Leigh and John let us use their garage for the last week for storage and today for the sale.  I forgot to take pictures of that.  Oops!
