January 31 - Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace."

January 30 - I procrastinated doing lesson plans for a LONG time today! I even ironed, and I almost never iron. After we got home from church tonight, I finally immersed myself in economics. I am starting The Stock Market Game with my fifth graders, and I don't know much about it myself! So, I sat down tonight with books and binders, and I am just trying to stay one step ahead of my kids! Unfortunately, I didn't sleep well tonight, and everytime I woke up, I had some economic term or stock ticker symbol in my head. :)
January 29 - It was a BEAUTIFUL spring day in January today in Mississippi with a high of 72!! I got outside, played tennis with a friend, and Bruce and I took Rook for a little outing. I intended to get pictures of horses that aren't too far from the house, but this picture turned out better than any of the ones I took of the horses! :)
January 28 - When I married Bruce, he had a few frogs around the house. Our collection has grown over the years. Most of them are very small, so most people don't even notice them around the house, but there is at least one frog in each room of the house. I will try to include pictures of them throughout the year! This is one my mom gave us a couple of years ago that sits on the bookshelf in our hallway.
January 27 - It was the end of the day, and I realized I had not taken a picture, so I looked around the house. I got this picture of the Chronicles and Narnia series of books. I have actually never read them, but Bruce has read most of them over the past few years as the movies have come out.
