{TEXTURE} - I took lots of pictures around our yard to get texture pictures this week. I couldn't decide which one to submit this week to Photography Bootcamp, so Bruce decided for me. I like his choice!
{COLD} - This theme was a bit hard to think about this week with the 60 degree weather outside. So, I had to get a bit creative (with Bruce's help!). I took a trip to Lowe's to get some pictures of "cold" knobs.
This is the one I submitted to the Project 52 this week.
Here are a few others. The first one was taken of the cold water tap at my school, and the others are at Lowe's. I didn't spend too much time editing these, but I just thought I would share!
{ARCHITECTURE} - This theme would have been easy on a normal week, but it was foggy and cloudy almost the entire week, making it not so easy to get a great picture outside. With that being said, I learned a LOT about Photoshop Elements this week as I tried to make dull pictures I took of the capital come to life. The day the pictures were due, it was a beautiful day, so I took a photography "field trip" to a small house/business not too far from me that has beautiful architecture. I took some pics there but ended up submitting one of the capital building.
This is the one I submitted this week. It took it Wednesday night while at church.
These are some others I took of the capital on either Sunday or Wednesday. Considering that the skies were gray both days, you can tell I had fun editing/playing with these! The first picture is straight out of the camera, besides the watermark, when we arrived at church Sunday morning. A fog descended upon Jackson Saturday evening and didn't fully lift until Tuesday. Those were a couple of dreary days.
The pictues below are a few of the ones I took of the business close to my house.
SPARKLE - That was the theme for Week 1 of Project 52. I looked around the house for things that sparkled and decided to take a few pictures of some ornaments before we put our tree away.
This is the picture that I submitted this week for the project. This cute snowman is covered in glitter, so I thought that was fitting for the theme.
Just for fun, here is one more I took of another sparkling ornament.
I know in my last post, I talked about how time consuming it was to keep up with Project 365 on the blog. I also love challenges and want to keep learning, so when I found this the other day, I knew this is what I wanted to try this year. It's called Project 52. That sounds a lot easier than Project 365, huh? :)
You can find lots of different sites for Project 365 or Project 52 when you search on the web, but I saw this one and really liked it. Two photographers, Keli and Jen, are posting a theme each week of the year, and you take a picture with that theme and post it on their Facebook page. Each week, they will select a picture to post on their blog. Check out their Project 52 blog post below. I am looking forward to seeing the themes that they present throughout the year!
