Project 365 - September 30

September 30 - While my students worked with their clay to make the figures for their clay-animation Aesop's fables, I played with some clay myself....a little play therapy, I suppose!  I was really just mixing a few different shades of green clay, and then this showed up by accident!
September 29 - Some of my fifth graders busy planning for their clay-animation movie of an Aesop's fable that they will make in the coming weeks.
September 28 - This is an art activity that the other gifted teacher at my school did with her third graders in the style of William Wegman.  This one of Dorothy was my favorite!
September 27 - I actually did this project the first week with my fifth graders.  Students filled in their silhouette with symbols about themselves.
September 26 - While I was at the Children's Museum yesterday taking pictures at McClain's birthday party, I stopped by the Scrabble board after the party was over and played around a bit!!  :)

Project 365 - September 25

September 25 - I had a blast photographing McClain's third birthday party today at the Children's Museum.   This is my second year to do her birthday party.  It is so fun to watch her grow up!!!  :)

Just for fun, here's one of my favorite pics from last year's party.

Project 365 - September 24

Things have been very crazy around our household lately.  We are getting ready for a HUGE garage sale next Saturday, and school planning is keeping me busy as well.

September 24 - After cleaning the house this morning, Bruce and I headed to Primos for lunch.  YUM!   I love a Primos breakfast!

September 23 - I just love my fifth graders.  I have had most of them for three years.  I will be sad to see them leave at the end of this year.

September 22 - I do believe that the one on the right is supposed to be Alexander the Great!  :)

September 21 - This is actually from two days ago, but this is what many of my fourth graders looked like after our papier mache project this week!

September 20 - In my Pop Art unit with my fourth graders, they are making papier mache objects in the style of Claes Oldenburg.  For most of them, it was their first time to ever papier mache, so they had a lot of fun!

September 19 - Beautiful rainbow.  It was actually a full rainbow, but I like this picture of it the best!

September 18 - We had fun going out to eat tonight with Chad, Cathy, and the kids!!  :)  I sure love the time I spend with Camryn and Caleb!!

September 17 - This is what the inside of Bruce's truck looks like while going through a car wash.

September 16 - Today, I helped with the MCTM Annual Conference at Brandon Middle School.  I am going off of the MCTM board this year.  I have been on the board for many years and even served as the president five years ago. I am sure going to miss the people that I have gotten to know through that experience.  Glad there is Facebook to keep me connected!

September 15 - This is what our garage looks like right now as we are preparing for our HUGE garage sale October 1.  WOW!!!!

September 14 - This is a neat activity that Mrs. Montgomery, the other gifted teacher at my school, did with her second graders today.  Students told concerns, dreams, thoughts, and hope that they had in their head.

September 13 - It's hard to wake up sometimes!

September 12 - This is a picture that Bruce actually took at my grandparents' house this weekend.  I wish I had taken my big camera with me, but oh well.

September 11 - This is what Bruce's truck looked like coming back from Mandeville.  They gave us lots of stuff for our garage sale!!  YAY!!

September 10 - Bruce and I went to visit my family in Mandeville this weekend. While we were sitting at the kitchen table visiting, I saw this butterfly outside, so I grabbed my camera.  My granparents have always had and still do have such a beautiful yard!
September 4-9 - I don't have any pictures for these few days.  :(

Project 365 - September 3

September 3 - I have no pictures for September 1 or 2.  :(   We were supposed to head to Mandeville this weekend for my Papa's birthday, but Tropical Storm Lee came through.  We stayed home instead and got 12 inches of rain over this Labor Day Weekend.  On Saturday, we went to the MS Science Museum with Chad, Cathy, and the kids.  It was good to get out of the house on the dreary, misty day!  The museum was having a frog exhibit, so you will notice lots of frogs!  :)

Caleb and Camryn both had fun seeing how far they could jump!

I think Camryn wins the jumping contest!

This was as good of a family picture as we could get today!  :)

Bruce was able to reach over the glass to get a good picture of this guy!

I love this picture.  Bruce is great with Camryn and Caleb, and they LOVE him!!!
