May 31 - Bruce and I are busy reading to prepare for our talks on our upcoming mission trip.
May 30 - Frogs seems to have made the pots in our yard their home lately. We have quite a few of them around. This one seems to like our tomato planter!

Project 365 - May 29
May 29 - Our beautiful Catawba crepe myrtle is beginning to bloom now. It looked great against the bright blue sky today!
May 28 - Bruce harvested about 10 pounds of Yukon Gold potatoes last night! This is only about half of what he got. This is a much better crop than the four tiny potatoes we got last year. Thanks Papa for the potato bags to grow them in. They definitely work!!
May 27 - I went to a luncheon reception at Madison Station today. It was in celebration of Kim Brasher being Teacher of the Year and Norma Carroll Ezell's retirement. A few others were retiring as well, but I was mainly there for Kim and Norma Carroll. This was how Shannon and the fifth grade team decorated Norma Carroll's table, the one at which I sat. It was a beautiful celebration of two wonderful teachers that I am very privileged to have worked with!!!

Project 365 - May 26
May 26 - Tonight, Bruce's church softball team won (yes, they were the visitors)!! This a huge accomplishment, considering this is their first win of the season, and the season is halfway over! :)
May 25 - My kids helped me pile things on the shelves the last hour this afternoon. It is hard to believe that this is the end of my tenth year of teaching. Where did the time go?
May 22- This is Amye and I at the bowling alley yesterday. Yes, we are holding up CHEESE for the picture!!! I love my friends that I can be silly with, and Amye is one of the BEST!!!!
May 21 - We went bowling with Amye, Reid, and the kids this afternoon. It was first time for the kids to ever bowl, and it was hilarious. Just in case you are wondering, it takes a really long time to bowl two games with four adults, a four year old, and a two year old!! :)
May 20 - Bruce and I visited with a dear friend of my this weekend. These are her two precious children, Adelynn and Tristan, waiting to going into the restaurant to eat. They were very patient!!

March 24 - Beautiful petunias waiting to be planted in pots in our backyard!
May 23 - This is one of my fifth grader's completed tree house. She went all out and bought doll house furniture for hers. It is complete with a light fixture that actually works when plugged up. Well, today was my last day with my fifth graders that I have had for two years. It was sad to see them leave today, but I know they will do great in middle school!

Project 365 - May 19
So, from these pictures it looks like we were at the beach a week. Unfortunately, we were only at the beach two days, but those few days provided some great pictures for the week!!
May 19 - We, of course, had to have some photo shoot time at the beach. Here is one of my favorites of Maggie.
May 18 - I found two shells like this at the beach that were still connected, and I thought they were so pretty!
May 17 - Happy 100,000 Mile Anniversary, Honda CRV!!!! This is what the odometer looked like when I rolled into my garage tonight. I did cheat just a little and drove around the block one extra time on the way home so it would be perfect!
May 17 - It's Monday, and I sure wish I was still at the beach, but I am not. I am home and at work instead. :( But, only ONE more Monday left to the school year after today!!!!!May 15 - This was taken yesterday, but oh well!! I think Bruce and I look like we need a little V8 or something, but this is the best group shot we got!
May 14 - Beautiful sunset before dinner Saturday night!
May 13 - Bruce, Laura, and I arrived at the Phoenix West in Gulf Shores, AL around 10:00 pm. We were tired but geared up for a great weekend!

Project 365 - May 12
I am almost caught up with the blog!!!
May 12 - These are a few purple finch babies in the column of our porch. Today was their last full day in the nest!
May 11 - One of my students did a Scary Face Contest (complete with Lego trophies!!) as part of his report on Bigfoot! These kids make me laugh!
May 10 - This was on a wall in Natchez last weekend, and I just thought it made a nice pic!
May 9 - Is it Monday again? My sentiments, exactly!!!!
May 8 - You might not be able to tell too much in this picture, but I took it in Natchez looking across the Misssissippi River at some of the flooding in Vidalia.
May 7 - Bruce and I went to Natchez for weekend. This is me with Ava, his cousin's oldest child, at a birthday party!
May 6 - This is a beautiful purple tulip that one of my students brought me for Teacher Appreciation Week!!
May 5 - This is not something that one of my students made, but when I went across the hall today, this was laying on the table, and it just cracked me up! Maybe this child's mom is a good chef!!!
May 4 - Okay...I just love this!!! Our PTO, as part of Teacher Appreciation Week, delivered cheesecake to all the teachers this afternoon. It happened to come at just the right time of day for me, you know, the time when you aren't sure you can make it the rest of the afternoon!! :) I loved their display. Priceless!!!
May 3 - I LOVE this picture in black and white!!!
May 2 - Today is the beginning of Teacher Appreciation Week. Letters like this one from a sweet third grader remind me what teaching is all about! My favorite part is the second to last sentence, "The way you don't just give us the answers when we ask a question about something helps us learn more because we have to figure it out by ourselves!" :)
May 1 - My third graders researched African masks, and then they did this string, glue, foil, shoe polish, steel wool art project with them. I really like the way they turned out, and this one is my favorite! This project was one of those that I was scared to do at first because of all that was involved, but once I finally got the courage to start the process, it wasn't so bad after all!
