Project 365 - March 31

Okay, so I have to admit.  I was not good at taking picture this last week, so I kind of played catch up the last couple of days.  So, all of the pictures below weren't taken on the day that it says, but they were taken this week! :)  Hopefully I can get back on track this next week!

March 31 - After school, I sat down with my little camera and played with pictures of the little wildflowers by my car.  I know the teacher that parks next to me must have thought I was crazy when she got to her car and I was crouched on the concrete next to her car!! :)  Anyhow, I think this one turned out pretty good.

March 30 - Happiness by Willow Tree - I gave one of these to each of my bridesmaids on my wedding day and kept one for myself too.  Such sweet memories!!!

March 29 - This is another frog in our colletion....he's a cute "sock frog"!

March 28 - Rose outside of Papito's in Madison - I had fun and played with the colors a bit on this one!

March 27 - This is a stacking doll set from Kyrgystan given to me by Brooke, a former college roommate, in 2000.  She went to Kyrgystan on a mission trip that year.  I could not get a good color picture how I wanted it, so I turned one of the pics black and white and played with the coloring some, and I like the final product!

March 26 - Azalea at Chad and Cathy's house

March 25 - This is a "weed cake" that Camryn made!  Since I am a teacher and my mom is not,  I received the special pinecone in the middle.  YUM!!  :)

March 24 - Indian Hawthorn in front of our house

March 23 - We had a bit of fellowship time at choir tonight, and we decorated with an Easter theme, and I just thought this was a fun picture!

Project 365 - March 22

March 22 - Okay, so this is how it went today at school.  One on my students sharpened her pencil with a tiny sharpener I have that is acctually for the colored pencils.  Why she didn't use the electric pencil sharpener, I am not sure.  Anyhow, when she was finished, this is what she had!  She brought it to me, and being the nerd that I am, I thought it was really cool and told her to save it and put it on my desk.  I knew I wanted to get a picture of it for the blog today.  Of course, by the end of the day, I had MANY of them on my desk because all my students suddenly wanted to use that sharpener!! :)

March 21 - Hello, Mr. Potato Plant!  Please produce more potatoes this year for Bruce than his potato plants did last year.  Thanks!!

Project 365 - March 20

March 20 - The wisteria is in bloom all over Jackson right now.  This was at church, and I didn't have my big camera.  So, this was taken with my point and shoot, but I played with the color a bit to make it "better"!

March 19 - A quote by Andrew Mason - "If dandelions were hard to grow, they would be most welcome on any lawn."  This one is welcome in our yard for photo purposes!!! :)

March 18 - Cara and I took the kids to The Children's Museum this morning after I took Rook to the vet.  He has somehow hurt his back.  Hopefully he will feel better after a little rest and some steroids.  :(  Anyhow, the museum was PACKED with kids, being the Friday of Spring Break, but we still had fun!!

March 17 - My dear friend Cara visited today.  A huge thank you to my wonderful neighbors for letting us use their swing set after Cara's kids had been traveling in the car for a while.  Aren't her kids adorable?  I loved spending time with them!

Project 365 - March 16

March 16 - I cleaned up the house a bit today to get ready for guests tomorrow, so I grabbed my camera and took this of a picture that I painted for Bruce years ago.  I am so blessed to be able to share my joys with him for almost six and a half years now!!

 March 15 - Good bye Texas....hello Mississippi!

March 14 - My dad has taken up fly tying as a bit of a hobby and built this station to work at when tying.  He went to a fly tying class after work tonight.  It is actually quite an art and very interesting to watch one of the flies come together as he works!

March 13 - I wanted to find some Texas wildflowers to photograph while visiting my parents.  We found a few patches on the way to Brazos Bend State Park, and this is an Indian Paintbrush that I got a good picture of.  One day, I would love to visit while the wildflowers are in full bloom!!  I have more pics from Brazos Bend that I will post later.

March 12 - I was welcomed today at the Robertson Bed and Breakfast (aka my parents' house!).  Doesn't this room look like it could be in a B & B though?!?  My mom could certainly run a bed and breakfast with all of her decorating and cooking talents.  She has always been and still is a wonderful hostess!!

Project 365 - March 11

March 11 - This Fitz & Floyd frog sits on our mantle.  I couldn't get a good angle on him there, so I moved him to the hearth for his "photoshoot"!

March 10 - After school, I went to the reservoir with all intentions of getting some good nature shots. That didn't happen, but I thought this picture of the spillway was pretty neat.  They are draining it right now because of all the rain we have had lately.

March 9 - I got a new flat iron this week.  Why didn't I do this sooner?  :)

March 8 - Bruce gave me this cute dog bank years ago. I think he is just adorable!

March 7 - This is the picture that it has taken me forever to get blogger to upload.  BLAH!!  Anyhow, here it is.  My fifth graders, as I mentioned before, are studying the stock market, so we did an art project with money today.  This is one of my student's final product!

Project 365 - March 6

March 6 - They learn so quickly these days. :)  We had dinner out with Chad and Cathy tonight and the kids wanted to drive away on their own!

March 5 - SHINE 2011 - Sanctuary choir members participated in many projects around the city today.  Bruce and I were at Mustard Seed, a home for mentally challenged adults.  We did lots of outside and inside cleaning.  I am so proud of the choir...about 200 participated!

March 4 - Our Star Magnolia in our front yard finally popped out in full bloom!  Check out the green ladybug!

Project 365 - March 3

March 3 - My view of the sunrise as I parked at school this morning. "From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, the name of the Lord shall be praised." What a great song adapted from Psalm 113:3.

March 2 - Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!!

March 1 - Besides our Star Magnolia and paperwhites (and weeds!), we also have loropetalum blooming right now as well. Actually, our paperwhites are dying down, so I am glad we still have other flowers blooming!

February 28 - Rook among our very own field of wildflowers, aka our back yard! Aren't they beautiful? :)

February 27 - Do you think it was this lens scrunchie I made that kept Maggie's attention for the photo shoot yesterday? I wish it was, but I must admit that her mother did most of the attention getting for me! Let's just say we both got a good workout!
